About the Role

This position is responsible for creating a “Premium” experience for customers through timely transition of new clients, support of existing clients, and payroll processing. The role involves troubleshooting, client education, relationship development, and demonstrating the depth and breadth of Insperity’s service value. The HCM Payroll Specialist I provides customer service, leverages teamwork, and utilizes software systems to support clients.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to customer-centric processes and procedures that drive delivery of premium service.
• Respond timely to customer requests and collect new customer data, reconcile wage details, and process initial payrolls where required.
• Leverage internal resources to provide exceptional client service, meet deadlines, and keep stakeholders informed of resolution status.
• Maintain flexibility in schedule to accommodate clients’ needs.
• Set high standards of performance for self and others; assume responsibility and accountability for completing assignments or tasks in a timely manner.
• Escalate complex client issues and follow through to resolution, ensuring appropriate communication to all involved parties.
• Adjust effectively while working with diverse clients who have different structures, processes, requirements, or cultures.
• Support processes and procedures to ensure integrity and accountability for SOC-1 compliance.
• Adhere to scalable processes and procedures that support rapid growth with high quality.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• One to two years of experience in payroll service bureau operations supporting customers is required.
• Customer service skills in a team environment.
• Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively, verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization and maintain effective work relations.
• Broad-based exposure to various HR disciplines and understanding of their role and impact on business, including payroll, benefits, taxation, accounting, employment documentation, and general HR practices.
• Proficient in designing and delivering concise and clear presentations to a broad audience.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs and demonstrated ability to learn other application programs as needed.
