Responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision and instruction of students.
• Work under the supervision of a certified teacher, providing support to individual or small groups of students in a classroom.
• Monitor students in a variety of settings, including the classroom, playground, cafeteria, and library.
• Provide clerical support to the teacher.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Job‑related experience is desired.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Meet the minimum requirement for a paraprofessional:
  • Associate of Arts degree, **or**
  • 72 quarter credits (or 48 semester credits) at an institution of higher learning, **or**
  • Pass the state paraeducator assessment.

$19.25 – $25.27 per hour (depending on experience)

Work Environment

The position involves occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some climbing and balancing, as well as stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling, plus fine finger dexterity. Work activities are roughly 34% sitting, 33% walking, and 33% standing. The environment features minimal temperature variations and is generally hazard‑free.
