About the role
Under the supervision of the building principal, the school nurse, and the head nurse, the selected candidate will perform delegated nursing services for students at assigned school(s).
Schedule
- 7.0 hours/day
- 5 days/week
- 195 days/year
Responsibilities
- Perform delegated nursing services for students
- Operate basic office equipment, such as copiers
- Lift equipment, supplies, and/or children weighing at least forty (40) pounds
- Perform all essential physical functions of the job
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of college coursework OR an Associate's Degree or higher OR passage of the ParaPro Assessment
- One year of related successful work experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing with coursework related to nursing, or Permanent Certification in School Nursing
- CPR Certification
- LPN Certification
- Previous experience working with students with disabilities
Pay
- Step 1; $17.47/hour (non-degreed)
- $19.74/hour (2-year degree)
