Hardware Support Technician

Location: Baton Rouge, LA

About the role

Perform hardware repair and configuration of HP print devices, including DesignJet, A3, and LaserJet models. Provide technical support for Personal Systems such as laptops, desktops, POS systems, and workstations. Assist with installations, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware issues onsite at customer locations. Work collaboratively with escalation teams and technical personnel to develop effective action plans. Engage with customers to educate them about technology solutions, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and service quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware repair and configuration of HP print devices (DesignJet, A3, LaserJet models).
• Provide technical support for Personal Systems including laptops, desktops, POS systems, and workstations.
• Assist with onsite installations, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware issues at customer locations.
• Collaborate with escalation teams and technical personnel to develop effective action plans.
• Engage with customers to educate them on technology solutions and ensure high satisfaction and service quality.

Requirements

• Proven experience troubleshooting hardware problems on HP print devices and personal systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with tools and alignment apparatus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in customer-facing situations.
• Ability to prioritize multiple activities and adapt quickly to changing environments.
• Reliable personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement; must reside within 15 minutes of Baton Rouge.
