About the role
This position involves joining the Intel Government Technologies Customer Engineering team as a Hardware Platform Applications Engineer (PAE). The role is part of a revamped roadmap aiming to expand Intel's presence in the military and aerospace market.
Responsibilities
- Directly engage with customers to provide support for customer-developed systems, including on-site power-on support.
- Participate in defining and developing Proof-of-Concept systems and demos.
- Replicate and debug customer-reported platform issues.
- Create and present technical collateral to customers, ecosystem providers, and the sales channel.
- Collaborate with platform and chipset software architects to define and finalize platform hardware requirements.
- Attend and participate in new product and program meetings.
- Review customer platform schematics and layouts.
- Support analysis teams in analyzing field quality return issues.
- Operate laboratory measurement equipment during debug activities.
- Build and flash software components and facilitate debug activities using Linux-based machines and tools.
Qualifications
- US Citizenship required.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of end-to-end platform hardware (board) design experience, covering circuit design, schematic capture, platform design guidelines, and bring-up/power-on debug.
Skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail and obsessive focus on creating best-in-class customer collateral.
- Excellent communication skills.
