Hardware Movement Technician II
About the role
This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which includes Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. It involves Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
Responsibilities
- Coordination with all applicable Blue Origin departments to ensure on-time delivery of raw material, parts, consumables and tooling to and from the appropriate work centers
- Enforce completion of work center buyoffs prior to moving hardware to the next work center
- Ensure hardware and equipment are properly staged for inter-plant transportation/movement
- Cross-reference and confirm part quantity, part number, serial number, labeling and routing sheet persist with hardware throughout plant movements
- Ensure inventory movements are properly transacted and accurate
- Contribute to zero-defect philosophy by escalating observed non-conformance or design/manufacturing issues that deviate from the nominal process
- Support inventory deviation investigations found within work centers
- Participate in Tier II production meetings to communicate part status information to management/leadership
- Ensure smooth and efficient process flow by contributing to development/refinement of queuing software
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
- Willingness to utilize powered lifting equipment, jib, crane or hoists
- Open to working all required shift hours, including overtime and weekends, as needed
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong computer skills, familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.)
- Prior experience within the aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic industries
- Prior CDL experience preferred
