Hardware Lead (Senior Principle Engineer) - Hybrid

Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

About the role

This Hardware Lead position supports our Space Systems business within Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems with a focus on RF Electronics. The role will own the cost, schedule, and technical content within the hardware scope, overseeing technical program execution alongside other leads (Electrical, Mechanical, Radiation, etc). Responsibilities include Cost Account Management (CAM) and Earned Value reporting for the hardware scope, solving technical problems, and supporting integration efforts as hardware arrives. While not a people manager, the Hardware Lead will provide feedback on team performance. This role reports to Space Systems Hardware Engineering management and is part of a diverse, enthusiastic, and highly productive team.

Responsibilities

• Own cost, schedule, and technical content for hardware scope.
• Oversee technical program execution in collaboration with other leads (Electrical, Mechanical, Radiation, etc).
• Perform Cost Account Management (CAM) and Earned Value reporting.
• Solve technical problems as they arise and support the team.
• Lead integration efforts for incoming hardware.
• Provide feedback on team performance for evaluations.
• Act as the Hardware Engineering Process expert, tailoring processes for programs under your purview.
• Serve as an Independent Assessor during Design Reviews and Peer Reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret-level clearance.
• Highly familiar with hardware design processes.
• Demonstrated project and people leadership skills.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Experience with Cost Account Management and Earned Value reporting.
• Leadership ability in Engineering Planning & Project Launch, Driving Technical Performance, and Risk & Opportunity Management.
• Understanding of the Hardware Engineering Process and ability to apply it as an expert.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree and/or equivalent work experience.
• Experience providing technical oversight in a Hardware Lead capacity.
• Experience resolving Hardware failures.
• Experience performing Hardware integration.
• Experience designing equipment for Space and/or RF electronics (CCAs and/or payloads).
• Familiarity with C4ISR product domains.
• Familiarity with AS9145.
• Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $132,962 – $226,035. Individual salaries are determined by factors including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
