Hardware Engineering Technical Manager - Mechanical

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant supervisory experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of experience.

Requirements

• Department of Defense Secret security clearance preferred at time of hire.
• Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering strategy, tools, and processes for a technical domain.
• Guide complex projects from planning through delivery, balancing cost, schedule, quality, and customer needs.
• Partner with project teams, customers, suppliers, and leadership to solve problems and manage risks.
• Build and develop a high-performing team through hiring, coaching, performance management, and training.
• Drive continuous improvement, including opportunities to use AI to improve engineering processes and outcomes.

Skills

• Proven experience leading engineering teams, technical programs, or a complex functional area.
• Strong understanding of project leadership, budgets, schedules, risk management, and earned value principles.
• Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to connect technical and business stakeholders.
• A collaborative, creative approach to solving complex problems and delivering results.
• Ability to manage priorities, set clear goals, delegate effectively, and meet commitments.

Pay

Target salary range: USD $164,314.00/Yr. - USD $182,285.00/Yr. (estimate based on experience and other factors; actual pay may vary).

Schedule

Flexible schedules with every other Friday off work, if desired (9/80 schedule). Workplace Options: This position is fully on-site or flex from site in Pittsfield, MA.
