About the Role
The Hard Armor Inside Sales Representative generates revenue and supports customers in Domestic, International, and Federal law-enforcement. This role focuses on managing inbound inquiries, providing product recommendations, and guiding customers through the purchasing process for hard armor products, including ballistic plates, shields, helmets, and protective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the full product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life for hard armor lines.
- Define and execute product strategies aligned with customer needs, market demands, and organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with R&D, Sales, Marketing, and Engineering to develop and refine product roadmaps.
- Maintain deep knowledge of industry standards (e.g., NIJ) and ensure compliance across all products.
- Work closely with Sales Representatives on a daily basis to address real-time production issues and bottlenecks.
- Ensure customer orders are completed on time, within budget, and meet or exceed quality standards.
- Provide hard armor product sheets and specifications upon request.
- Monitor bid postings and ensure Sales Representatives are aware of bids in their assigned territory.
- Review bidding requirements and summarize them for Sales Representatives.
- Follow up with customers as needed from proposal/bid to order.
- Support senior sales personnel and work with Customer Service to ensure order accuracy.
- Independently manage smaller accounts under Sales Representatives' supervision.
- Submit sample requests and follow them through the order entry and production process.
- Work directly with distributors and end users in support of sales efforts.
- Collaborate with production personnel to expedite orders when necessary.
- Monitor custom orders from engineering through production, assembly, and shipping to verify end-user requirements and timeframes are met.
- Anticipate potential order problems and work to avoid them.
- Maintain the company’s safety and quality standards, ensuring a safe and clean work area.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or minimum of three (3) years of sales, military, police, or protective solutions industry experience.
- Proficient in word-processing software, spreadsheets, and database programs.
- Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
- Ability to work independently, find solutions to problems, and interact directly with customers while maintaining a positive impression of the company.
- Effective technical writing skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to present in meetings and large committees.
- Must read, write, and understand Basic English.
- Must be authorized to work in the USA.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Requires sitting for prolonged periods.
- Requires dexterity and coordination to handle files, boxes, and materials.
- Requires minimum reaching for items above and below desk level.
- Requires strength, coordination, and vision to use a keyboard and video display terminal for prolonged periods.
- Requires walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
- Requires repetitive movements with fingers, hands, wrists, and arms.
- May require traveling as needed.
