Responsibilities

• Complete small to medium maintenance and repairs for home and commercial projects (project length ranges from two hours to two days).
• Communicate with customers to help them understand project needs, scope of work, and costs while managing expectations.
• Deliver a great experience to create life-long repeat customers by following the Mr. Handyman Way—a repeatable process for consistent customer satisfaction.
• Self-manage while working independently, often alone.
• Provide excellent customer service, request reviews, and collect payments.
• Use necessary tools, including technology, to document jobs following the Mr. Handyman Way.
• Wear proper PPE and booties to protect customers’ homes.

Requirements

• Live within the area.
• 8+ years’ experience as a paid handyman.
• Own your own tools.
• Be insurable for driving our vehicle.
• Pass a background and driving record check.
• Able to lift 50 pounds independently.
• Able to safely work at heights and overhead for extended periods.
• Maintain a professional appearance and company-provided vehicle.

Skills

As an experienced Handyman, you must have strong proficiency in at least three (3) of the following:

• Carpentry work
• Bathroom improvements
• Kitchen improvements
• Painting (interior and exterior)
• Drywall work (minor and major repairs)
• General plumbing and electrical (where allowed by law)
• Floor installation and refurbishing
• Familiarity with building codes

Pay

The pay range for this position is from $40,000 to $60,000 per year, dependent on your experience as a professional handyman and your expertise in home repair and maintenance projects such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and drywall.
