Pay
Competitive pay: $25‑$30 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Complete small to medium maintenance and repairs for home and commercial projects (project length ranging from two hours to several days).
- Communicate with customers to explain needed work, manage expectations about scope and costs, and collect payments and reviews.
- Build lasting customer relationships by delivering a great experience.
- Follow the “Mr. Handyman Way,” a repeatable process designed to wow customers.
- Self‑manage, often working alone.
- Use required tools and technology, and electronically document each job.
- Wear proper PPE and booties to protect customers’ homes.
Requirements
- Live within the service area.
- 5+ years’ experience as a paid handyman.
- Own general tools (preferred; specialty tools provided).
- Be insurable for driving the company vehicle.
- Pass a background check and driving‑record review.
- Ability to lift 50 lb independently.
- Ability to work safely at heights and overhead for extended periods.
- Professional appearance and maintenance of a company‑provided vehicle.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in at least three of the following: carpentry work; bathroom improvements; kitchen improvements; interior and exterior painting; drywall work (minor and major repairs); general plumbing and electrical (where allowed by law); floor installation and refurbishing; familiarity with building codes.
