Responsibilities

• Complete small to medium maintenance and repair projects for residential and commercial customers, ranging from two hours to several days.
• Communicate with customers to explain needed work, manage expectations about scope and cost, and request reviews and payments.
• Build lasting customer relationships by delivering a great experience and following the “Mr. Handyman Way” process.
• Self‑manage work schedule, often working alone.
• Use required tools and technology, electronically document jobs, and wear proper PPE and booties to protect customers’ homes.

Requirements

• Live within the service area.
• 5+ years of paid handyman experience.
• Own general tools (preferred; specialty tools provided).
• Insurable to drive the company vehicle.
• Pass a background check and driving record review.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds independently.
• Ability to work safely at heights and overhead for extended periods.
• Professional appearance and maintenance of a company‑provided vehicle.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in at least three of the following: carpentry, bathroom improvements, kitchen improvements, interior/exterior painting, drywall repair, general plumbing and electrical (where permitted by law), floor installation and refurbishing.
• Familiarity with building codes.
