Responsibilities

• Complete small to medium maintenance and repairs for home and commercial projects, with project lengths ranging from two hours to two days.
• Communicate with customers to help them understand the work needed and manage expectations about scope and costs.
• Deliver a great experience to create life-long repeat customers by following the Mr. Handyman Way—a repeatable process for customer satisfaction.
• Self-manage while working independently, including speaking with customers, providing excellent service, asking for reviews, and collecting payments.
• Use necessary tools and technology to document jobs while following the Mr. Handyman Way process.
• Wear proper PPE and booties to protect customers’ homes.

Requirements

• Live within the area.
• 8+ years’ experience as a paid handyman.
• Own your own tools.
• Be insurable for driving our vehicle.
• Pass a background and driving record check.
• Able to lift 50 pounds independently.
• Able to safely work at heights and overhead for extended periods.
• Maintain a professional appearance and company-provided vehicle.

Skills

As an experienced Handyman, you must have strong proficiency in at least three (3) of the following:

• Carpentry work
• Bathroom improvements
• Kitchen improvements
• Painting, both inside and out
• Drywall work, minor and major repairs
• General plumbing and electrical, where allowed by law
• Floor installation and refurbishing
• Familiarity with building codes

Pay

The pay range for this position is from $40,000 to $60,000 per year, dependent on your experience as a professional handyman and your expertise with home repair and maintenance projects.
