Handyman (2nd Shift)

About the Role

As a CBRE Handyman you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium‑sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. The position is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function and provides support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
• Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
• Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
• Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems and exchange information clearly and concisely.
• Impact the team through defined duties, methods, and tasks as described in detail.
• Deliver output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1‑2 years of job‑related experience (or equivalent combination of experience and education).
• Physical ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, and lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lb or more.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Schedule

All schedules are available, including daytime, evening, and night shifts. Days and shifts offered will be determined based on the needs of the team. Some overtime and “on call” for emergencies may be required.

Pay

The minimum salary for the Handyman position is $55,000 annually ($26.44 per hour) and the maximum salary is $65,000 annually ($31.25 per hour). Compensation will depend on skills, qualifications, and experience.
