About the Role

We are seeking a Per Diem Occupational Therapist – Hand Therapy to join our dynamic rehabilitation team. In this role, you will provide specialized therapy services focused on the evaluation and treatment of upper extremity conditions, including post-surgical care, injury recovery, and functional restoration. The ideal candidate will have experience or a strong interest in hand therapy and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care. As a per diem team member, you’ll enjoy flexible scheduling while working in a collaborative environment that values clinical expertise and professional growth. This position is perfect for an OT who is passionate about helping patients regain independence and improve quality of life through evidence-based hand therapy interventions.

Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential strongly preferred. Candidates with substantial hand therapy experience, particularly in custom splint fabrication and management, are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized hand therapy services, including evaluation and treatment of upper extremity conditions.
  • Deliver post-surgical care, injury recovery, and functional restoration interventions.
  • Fabricate and manage custom splints.
  • Apply evidence-based practices in hand therapy to improve patient outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Adhere to professional practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, team members, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
  • Current Occupational Therapist licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance (if working in Home Health).
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in computer and required technology.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Pay

Pay Range is $61.91 to $86.67 per hour. The compensation range may vary based on geographic location, candidate experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
