We are seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapist – Hand Therapy Specialist to join our dynamic rehabilitation team. In this role, you will provide specialized therapy services focused on the evaluation and treatment of upper extremity conditions, including post-surgical care, injury recovery, and functional restoration. The ideal candidate will have experience or a strong interest in hand therapy and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care. About the role

This position is perfect for a PT who is passionate about helping patients regain independence and improve quality of life through evidence-based hand therapy interventions. Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential strongly preferred. Candidates with substantial hand therapy experience, particularly in custom splint fabrication and management, are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized therapy services focused on the evaluation and treatment of upper extremity conditions, including post-surgical care, injury recovery, and functional restoration.
  • Perform custom splint fabrication and management.
  • Apply professional practice and regulatory requirements in daily work.
  • Organize multiple priorities and complete work duties within expected timelines.
  • Demonstrate effective and efficient professional communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Retain and apply new knowledge and skills; keep abreast of professional practice development and advancement.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
  • Valid PT license or approved license applicant/resident training program employee.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
  • For Home Health department: Valid Driver’s License and Automobile Insurance.
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience.
  • Critical thinking, complex problem solving, and decisive judgement.
  • Ability to work independently in a demanding work environment.
  • Computer and required technology proficiency/competencies.

Skills

  • Conflict resolution and teamwork/collaboration.
  • Customer service and community relations.

Schedule

  • Per Diem/Casual (variable days and hours).
  • Shift: Days, 8 hours per shift.
  • Weekend requirements: Rotating weekends.

Pay

Pay Range is $63.78 to $89.28 per hour. The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
