Hand Finisher - 1st shift (6am to 230pm)

About the role

Perform hand finishing, deburring, and inspection with minimal supervision, using appropriate tooling. Cross-training in various disciplines within the hand finish area is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Hand grinding various airfoil shapes to their finish contour and dimension
• Chamfer, radius, and grind parts to blueprints and work instructions
• Read and understand basic diagrams and mechanical drawings
• Clean and grit blast components
• Read, interpret, and execute work instructions
• Follow all company policies, including safety instructions
• Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and promote good housekeeping practices
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
• 2 years’ experience in component repair
• 2 years’ experience with inspection tooling and processes
• Familiarity with all tools required for hand finishing

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with FAA part 145 Repair Stations and ability to apply regulatory requirements
• Demonstrated experience with Lean and 5S principles
