About the role

As a Merchandiser, you will work independently to organize product displays, manage inventory, and build retailer relationships while representing Hallmark. You will collaborate with store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and assist with seasonal resets and installations. On occasion, you may also support non-Hallmark products in the stores you service.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department using a mobile device provided by Hallmark.
• Use technology for day-to-day tasks, supervisor communication, time reporting, and feedback submission.
• Maintain professional and courteous interactions with store employees, management, and customers.
• Manage the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Provide holiday support, including additional days and extended hours before and after major holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. May include working on holidays or weekends.
• Participate in department resets, including building and installing fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. May require evenings or weekends, with advance notice typically provided two weeks prior.
• Support fellow merchandisers in other territories as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Physically demanding role requiring energy and urgency.
• Work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms.
• Frequently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, and use step ladders throughout the workday.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to operate a digital hand-held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.

Pay

Starting hourly pay rate is $16.50 to $18.50 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.

Schedule

Part-time position with a variable schedule during the work week. Average weekly hours are between 6 to 12 hours. Availability required the week before and after major holidays, including weekends, and to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
