About the role
The Casino Host Program is dedicated to developing and retaining the patronage of the Resort’s top 2,000 gaming customers. Each Host is responsible for approximately 350 accounts, focusing on maximizing profitability, securing repeat visitation, and reducing attrition.
Responsibilities
- Explain and demonstrate Hospitality Behaviors and Performance Standards.
- Understand where to get the information needed to complete tasks to standard.
- Explain or demonstrate technical skills used to complete tasks to standard.
- Take ownership of problems and solve them when solutions may not be available.
- Act upon all comments/complaints in a prompt, professional, and friendly manner.
- Respond to obstacles and find new ways to reach desired end results.
- Supports achievement of Quality Goals by acting to protect and preserve property of IMGR&C.
- Supports achievement of Quality Goals by taking action to resolve conflict between individuals.
- Contributes ideas that support progress and success at shift, team, and departmental meetings.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Five years experience as a Casino Host.
- Fluent in both Spanish and English preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
- Mescalero Apache Tribal preference.
- Bicultural experience preferred.
- Prior experience in a casino players club required.
- Must be able to use a computer and use the following programs: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Casino Player Tracking System.
- Excellent phone skills and knowledge of using a fax and copier machine.
- Outgoing personality and enjoyment of working with the public and fellow team members.

- Ability to use hand-held communications devices.
- Standing for several hours is frequent.
