About the Role
As a Store Manager, you’ll be responsible for the total holistic omni customer experience in your store, ensuring high visual and commercial curation and standards according to the store format location and global & regional strategies. You will lead the full store team to excel, creating an inclusive culture that promotes collaboration and entrepreneurial spirit. You will analyze and follow up on sales, creating plans to optimize results and profits, while maintaining awareness of the store’s strengths, opportunities, and competitors.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the total OMNI customer experience in your store, ensuring visual and commercial curation according to your store format, global guidelines, and regional strategies.
- Represent yourself and the H&M brand positively during all customer interactions.
- Establish, analyze, and follow up on sales and budget goals, creating plans to optimize results.
- Ensure personal customer service is provided in all areas of the store, guiding customers through fashion stories and actively selling products.
- Promote the Customer Loyalty App (Hello Member) and in-store sustainability initiatives.
- Schedule to budgeted hours in line with sales budget and commercial activities.
- Ensure correct routines in fitting rooms and checkout, including transactions, returns, and exchanges.
- Identify commercial opportunities, maintain competitor awareness, and manage store maintenance cost-efficiently.
- Handle all admin routines for both people and operations correctly.
- Stay updated with fashion trends, tendencies, styles, brands, products, competitors, and relevant influencers.
- Ensure your team provides product and fashion knowledge during customer interactions.
- Understand the local area of your store, including customers, competition, and fashion trends.
- Responsible for talent and performance management—recruiting, onboarding, upskilling, and developing your team.
- Complete performance evaluations and succession planning to support business needs.
- Maintain strong collaboration with the Area team and store leadership, including Visual Merchandisers (VMs).
- Ensure excellent communication and professionalism within the team.
- Oversee team planning and scheduling, including regular communication to motivate and inspire.
- Ensure all procedures, routines, security, and legal requirements are followed.
- Participate in relevant onboarding, training, and courses for your role and future development.
- Ensure a clean and tidy sales floor and back of house, with high fashion quality and commercial product presentation.
- Maintain good stock levels and provide input on allocation to relevant colleagues.
- Support daily opening and closing store routines and processes.
- Ensure the full garment cycle—from delivery to presentation—follows standards and processes.
- Maintain upkeep of in-store OMNI services and tech tools (Instore Care App, Click & Collect, Smart Store, etc.).
- Secure a strong balance and maintenance of price signs throughout the store.
- Update and maintain back-of-house (BOH) areas for all colleagues, including key information and health & safety.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience working in a leadership position.
- Retail management and retail operations experience.
- Experience collaborating closely with a team.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team coaching and development.
- Ambitious, effective communicator, and analytical problem-solver.
- Capable of working with numbers and managing statistics.

Pay
Expected base salary range is $84,500 - $88,000 annually. This range may be modified based on candidate qualifications.
