Gynecologic Oncologist Faculty Appointment

Summary of Job Duties

This UAMS Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) Gynecologic Oncologist (Gyn Onc) faculty position will be responsible for Cancer Research and the direct patient care of Cancer patients at the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute. Along with four other Gyn Onc faculty members, the team also includes three advanced nurse practitioners. In addition to clinical duties, the Gyn Onc faculty member will actively participate in the clinical education of twenty OBGYN residents and medical students. The Gyn Onc faculty member will also be expected to participate in research endeavors. The candidate will need to be committed to being part of an organization that is focused on providing the best care for patients through a strong interdisciplinary approach, while also working to improve health disparities in the State of Arkansas. This position will offer competitive compensation while still retaining a lifestyle conscious approach with respect to call and clinical duties.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications (Essential for the job – the applicant must possess at the time of hire)

    • Education, general: MD or DO
    • Completion of a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in an ACGME approved program
    • Education, special or professional: Completion of Fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology
    • Licenses, certificates, or registration: Valid AR state medical license as an MD or DO upon hiring
    • Valid DEA certificate upon hiring
    • CBC/BE in Obstetrics and Gynecology (American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology) and BC/BE in Gynecologic Oncology
