Gun Counter Salesclerk (PT)

About the role

The Gun Counter Salesclerk reports to the Store Manager, Assistant Manager, or Supervisor on duty. This position is non-exempt and part-time.

Responsibilities

• Aid customers in understanding product knowledge and handling special order requests.
• Maintain a valid Firearm Owners Identification [F.O.I.D.] card for Illinois residents and a valid Driver’s License for Missouri/Iowa residents.
• Follow all firearm sale procedures and ATF regulations, including completing the 4473 Form.
• Operate a handheld Telxon device.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment according to company guidelines.
• Adhere to loss prevention and safety procedures.
• Attend store and job-related meetings.
• Communicate effectively with customers, management, and coworkers.
• Comply with all applicable company, local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Ensure work areas are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Operate cash registers and assist with customer carry-outs.
• Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Lift up to and including 50 lbs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities

Completes special projects directed by management and additional responsibilities may be assigned throughout the store at any given time.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement is 21 years old.
• Illinois residents must carry a valid Firearm Owners Identification [F.O.I.D.] card.
• Missouri/Iowa residents must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Great attention to detail and accuracy are required.
• A positive attitude and a passion for collaboration with team members are essential.
