PT Gun Counter Salesclerk

About the role

The Gun Counter Salesclerk reports to the Store Manager, Assistant Manager, or Supervisor on duty. This position is classified as non-exempt/hourly, part-time.

Essential Functions

• Aid customers and provide product knowledge, including handling special order requests.
• Maintain a valid Firearm Owners Identification (F.O.I.D.) card for Illinois residents and a valid Driver’s License for Missouri/Iowa residents.
• Follow all firearm sale procedures and ATF regulations, including completing the 4473 form.
• Operate a handheld Telxon device.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment according to company guidelines.
• Comply with loss prevention and safety procedures.
• Attend store and job-related meetings.
• Communicate effectively with customers, management, and colleagues.
• Adhere to all applicable company, local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Ensure work areas are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Operate cash registers and assist with customer carry-outs.

Additional Responsibilities

Other duties and responsibilities may be required to meet the needs of the business.

Minimum Requirements of Training and Experience

• Minimum age requirement of 21 years old.
• Illinois residents must carry a valid F.O.I.D. card.
• Missouri/Iowa residents must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Great attention to detail and accuracy are required.
• A positive attitude and a passion for collaboration are essential.
• Must have a strong desire to grow within the team.
