Reports to: Store Manager, Assistant Manager, or Supervisor on duty Classification: Non-Exempt/Hourly JOB SUMMARY: To provide exceptional customer service and maximize sales while ensuring efficient operations and full compliance with company policies and ATF regulations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers, sharing product knowledge, and handling special order requests.Follow all applicable company policies and ATF regulations regarding firearm and ammunition sales.Verify customer identification and required documentation in accordance with applicable federal and state laws.Complete all required firearm sale procedures and documentation, including ATF Form 4473.Operate handheld Telxon devices to support inventory management and daily department operations.Maintain department merchandising standards and implement store advertisements according to company guidelines.Ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment.Follow all loss prevention policies and workplace safety procedures.Attend store meetings and job-related training sessions.Communicate effectively with customers, management, and fellow employees.Comply with all applicable company policies and local, state, and federal regulations.Maintain a clean and well-stocked work area to ensure efficient completion of assigned duties.Operate cash registers and assist customers with carrying out purchases.Maintain a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Complete all required online training through the company’s Outfitter website.Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.Consistent attendance for regularly scheduled work shifts is required. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Must be at least 21 years old to sell Firearms & Ammunition.Employee Firearm Identification Requirements:Illinois residents must carry a valid Firearm Owners Identification [F.O.I.D.] card.Missouri/Iowa residents-must have a valid Driver’s License.Must possess great customer service and communication skills.Candidate must have great attention to detail and accuracy.Positive attitude with a passion for collaborating with Team Members committed to growth. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds occasionally engaging in assisted lifting over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
