About the role

This position offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team of skilled professionals dedicated to maintaining and repairing aircraft. The role involves performing a variety of tasks related to sheet metal operations, including drilling, riveting, cutting, and applying sealants.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe and associated components.
  • Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening, and finish materials.
  • Maintain, clean, and repair shop facilities, equipment, and tooling when required.
  • Navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
  • Communicate effectively (speaking, writing, reading) in English.
  • Assist in supervising crews and setting project priorities.
  • Work under supervision of assigned Team Leader and may supervise other technicians.

Requirements

  • A High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Airframe and Powerplant License is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
  • Prior experience working with sheet metal is preferred.
  • Self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attend work every day as scheduled, including overtime and weekend assignments.
  • Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.
  • Reliable transportation to get to work each day.
  • Comply with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
  • Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
  • Maintain customer-oriented work habits.

Qualifications

  • Basic to advanced knowledge of turbine aircraft structures.
  • Ability to read blueprints and work from drawings.
  • Strong fastening systems, procedures, and techniques.
  • Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $22-$38. Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift.

Schedule
