Responsibilities
- Develop integration solutions with 3rd party integration services for ClaimCenter.
- Provide technical leadership to junior Guidewire associates regarding Guidewire development and support.
- Work onsite at client location to understand business needs, assess technical feasibility, and communicate requirements to offshore teams to ensure quality deliverables.
- Dedicate 40% of time to hands-on ClaimCenter development for releases.
- Coordinate onsite and offshore teams to resolve production incidents.
- Manage and communicate team status to onsite management.
- Provide technical support for Guidewire ClaimCenter in production.
- Coordinate with teams to analyze defects.
- Collaborate with other service providers and integration owners to ensure applications remain operational.
Requirements
- Overall, 11–15 years of work experience.
- 5–8 years of hands-on experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter modules.
- Hands-on knowledge of Guidewire Configuration and/or Integration.
- One complete end-to-end implementation experience.
- Development experience with Guidewire GOSU proprietary code.
- Development experience with Guidewire APIs, methods, rules, and processes.
Skills
- Guidewire ClaimCenter experience for implementation and integration with 3rd party services.
- Experience creating new products within ClaimCenter; knowledge of Commercial Insurance, CA WC, and GL is required.
- Ability to create new data model elements and extend existing application data models with new properties.
- Experience managing application configuration and performing minor/major software upgrades.
- Ability to establish and execute traceable unit and integration tests (automated, as agreed).
- Experience working with SQL Server or DB2 databases.
- Experience with 3rd party platform integration.
- Familiarity with application servers such as WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, or JBOSS J2EE containers.
- Strong skills in Java programming (3–4 years of experience preferred).
- Experience with web services (WSDL, SOAP, XML, REST).
- Experience with REST web services is a plus.
- Experience with code versioning systems such as SVN.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Experience working directly with customers is a plus.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Certified Guidewire ClaimCenter professional (preferred).
