Job Summary
Global Leadership Academy is seeking a dedicated and student-centered School Guidance Counselor to support the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development of students at our Intercoastal Campus. The ideal candidate will provide counseling services, support student success initiatives, and collaborate with staff and families to promote a positive school environment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide individual and small group counseling to support student academic, social, and emotional development
- Develop and implement a comprehensive school counseling program
- Support students with behavior interventions, conflict resolution, and social-emotional learning
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records
- Monitor student attendance, progress, and well-being
- Auxiliary with crisis intervention and provide appropriate referrals when needed
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student needs and progress
- Participate in school meetings, events, and professional development
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in School Counseling
- Valid Florida Certification in School Counseling
- Knowledge of child development, behavior support, and counseling practices
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a school setting
- Knowledge of MTSS/RTI processes
- Experience supporting K–8 students
- Strong crisis intervention and student support skills
Work Schedule
In-person position, Monday through Friday 8-hour shift
