Job Summary

Essential Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling to support students' academic, personal, social, and emotional development.
- Assist students in developing and monitoring academic plans to ensure progress toward graduation requirements.
- Guide students through the course selection and scheduling process.
- Monitor student academic performance and identify interventions for students experiencing academic difficulties.
- Support students and families in addressing attendance, behavioral, social, and emotional concerns.
- Assist students with college and career planning, including college applications, financial aid, scholarships, career exploration, and post-secondary decision-making.
- Coordinate and administer college readiness programs, testing information, and related student services.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and external agencies to address student needs and promote student success.
- Maintain accurate student records, transcripts, and counseling documentation.
- Facilitate classroom guidance lessons, workshops, and presentations on academic success, college readiness, career exploration, and social-emotional wellness.
- Participate in student support teams, parent conferences, and faculty meetings as appropriate.
- Serve as a resource for students, families, and staff regarding student services and available community resources.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional, ethical, and legal standards.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in School Counseling, Counseling, Education, or a related field required.
- Valid Missouri School Counselor certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.
- Previous counseling experience in a secondary school setting preferred.
- Knowledge of college admissions processes, graduation requirements, and post-secondary planning.
- Strong understanding of adolescent development and social-emotional learning.
- Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education.

- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, families, and community partners.
