Guest Teacher (Substitute)

Job Summary

Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (BROD) is seeking qualified Guest Teachers (Substitutes) for grades PreK through 4th. The school is scheduled to open for the 2023-24 school year, starting with PreK - 4th grade and will eventually serve PreK - 8th grade.

Responsibilities

• Assist in classroom activities and student development on a temporary as needed basis.
• Continue with the lessons of the full time teacher.
• Handle lunch or recess duty, bus duty, giving and grading assignments, handling discipline, and keeping order within the classroom while teaching the provided assignment.

Requirements

• At least a high school diploma to substitute teach in Louisiana.
• Pass a national and state criminal background check.
