Guest Services Event Staff | Part-Time | CURE Insurance Arena

About the role

As a member of the Guest Services Event Team, you will be an essential part of the guest experience and help build memories that last a lifetime. In this role, you will wear many different hats and have the potential to work in several different areas of the arena, including ushering, ticket scanning, concourse customer service, and greeting. You will assist guests by offering directions and sharing information while creating a world-class experience, ensuring fans are safe and informed while maintaining a fun and friendly atmosphere.

About the venue

CURE Insurance Arena is a multi-purpose facility located in Mercer County, New Jersey, featuring a capacity of 8,000+ general bowl and suite-level seating with capabilities for various event layouts. Opened in 1999 as the entertainment hub for Mercer County, the arena has hosted legendary performers such as Elton John, Cher, ZZ Top, and Ghost.

Responsibilities

• Prepare your assigned section for guests, including wiping down seats, identifying potential hazards, and reporting issues to a supervisor.
• Welcome fans with a positive attitude when gates open.
• Scan event tickets to ensure proper entry.
• Assist fans in locating their ticketed seats.
• Monitor your assigned area for safety hazards and opportunities to enhance the guest experience.
• Respond to guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
• Assist guests in ADA-accessible seating sections.
• Enforce building policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment.
• Manage foot traffic flow during large crowds.
• Be knowledgeable about the arena’s emergency evacuation plan to assist guests safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience in a hospitality or entertainment environment is preferred.
• Must enjoy working with and helping people.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Must maintain a positive attitude while handling difficult situations.
• Availability to work nights (sometimes until midnight or later), weekends (all day Saturday and Sunday), and holidays.
• Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods.
• Able to lift and/or move heavy objects.

Pay

This role pays an hourly rate of $15.92.
