About the role

As a member of the Guest Services Event Staff Team, you will be an essential part of the guest experience and help build memories that last a lifetime. In this role, you will wear many different hats and have the potential to work in several different areas of the arena, including ushering, ticket scanning, concourse customer service, and/or greeting. You will assist guests by offering directions and sharing information while creating a world-class experience. Your job will be to keep fans safe and informed while maintaining a fun and friendly atmosphere.

About The Venue

The Liberty First Credit Union Arena, formerly known as the Ralston Arena, is located in Ralston, Nebraska, a suburb of Omaha. It serves as the home of the Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League and the Omaha Beef of Champions Indoor Football.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare your assigned section for guests; this could include wiping down seats, looking for potential hazards, and reporting any issues to a supervisor.
  • Welcome fans with a great smile and helpful attitude when gates open.
  • Scan event tickets, ensuring the proper ticket is being used to gain entry.
  • Assist fans in locating their ticketed seats.
  • Be alert and proactive to potential hazards and report incidents when they occur.
  • Monitor your assigned area for issues and opportunities to create lasting memories for fans.
  • Respond to all guest concerns/complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Assist guests in ADA-accessible seating sections.
  • Enforce all building policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for all guests.
  • Manage the foot traffic flow of large crowds.
  • Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for alcohol purchases.
  • Be knowledgeable about the venue's emergency evacuation plan to safely assist guests during emergencies.

Requirements

  • 6+ months of previous experience in a hospitality or entertainment environment is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must love working with and helping people.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must maintain a positive attitude while handling difficult situations.
  • Flexible schedule: availability to work most home basketball games; weekend availability is needed.
