About the role
The position involves working cooperatively with other staff members to assist lodge residents in understanding and following policies and procedures, ensuring a secure environment for both residents and staff.
Location
736 W. Main Street, Lexington, KY 40508 (Fayette County)
Schedule
- Full-time: Wednesday–Sunday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
- Part-time: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (1st and 2nd shifts available)
Pay
From $13.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Greet everyone entering the facility in a kind, friendly manner.
- Provide a tour of the building upon checking in a client.
- Read the logbook upon going on duty.
- Refer questions regarding admission to the Director of Guest Services.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the Employee Procedure Manual and Residential Policy Manual.
- Circulate throughout the building and grounds every 45 minutes to ensure rules are followed and security is maintained.
- Record a headcount at least three times per shift.
- Keep all assigned statistics up to date.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the facility as instructed by the Director of Guest Services.
- Check on diners at each meal and monitor the dining room during mealtimes, making necessary announcements.
- Make logbook entries of pertinent events or information from your shift.
- Keep hallways clear of loitering residents.
- Maintain lodge security by monitoring visitors, ensuring VISITOR badges are worn, and verifying sign-ins and IDs.
- Cover for co-workers during absences.
- Provide additional services as required for the efficient functioning of The Salvation Army.
