Guest Services Assistant

Seasonal position at Conservation Garden Park in West Jordan, UT. Internship credit available upon college/university approval.

About the role

As a Guest Services Assistant, you'll be the friendly face of the Garden's Education Center, offering guest services both in person and virtually. This is a great learning opportunity for those interested in horticulture, landscaping, water conservation, or environmental science.

Responsibilities

• Provide guest services at the Education Center (in-person, online, phone)
• Answer questions on plants, landscaping, and water conservation
• Assist with garden care: weeding, pruning, watering, tending flowerpots and greenhouse
• Coordinate tours, rentals, and photography sessions

Requirements

• Experience or education in horticulture, landscaping, or guest services is preferred, but not required
• Strong customer service skills are a must
• Must be available to work weeknights and Saturdays
• Comfortable interacting with the public and promoting waterwise landscaping
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Must be self-motivated and able to transition between indoor and outdoor duties
