Guest Service Supervisor

Permanent, full-time position located in Sault Ste. Marie. Work must be completed on site; remote work is not available.

About the role

Front-line supervisory role at Quality Inn & Suites Bay Front. You will oversee daily operations, staff, and guest services to ensure smooth hotel functioning and high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities with other work units or departments
• Establish work schedules and procedures
• Perform same duties as workers supervised
• Prepare and submit reports
• Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
• Assist clients/guests with special needs
• Coordinate, assign, and review work
• Hire and train staff in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies
• Maintain operation of computer systems and equipment; arrange repair work to ensure business continuity and customer service delivery
• Requisition materials and supplies
• Provide general information about points of interest in the area
• Perform clerical duties (e.g., faxing, filing, photocopying)
• Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments
• Answer telephone and relay calls and messages
• Process group arrivals and departures
• Provide customer service
• Take, cancel, and change room reservations
• Register arriving guests and assign rooms
• Process guests’ departures, calculate charges, and receive payments
• Provide information on hotel facilities and services

Requirements

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience

Pay

$22.00 hourly / 35 hours per week
