About the role
Join us as a Part Time Guest Services Representative at The Navy Inn, Fallon, NV with the Navy Exchange Service Command. Start your career in support of the U.S. Navy and our fleet. This role provides critical mission support by assisting NGIS lodging guests within the U.S. Military across the globe. Located at Naval Air Station Fallon—home of the Navy’s premier tactical aviator training facility and known as the home of “Top Gun”—you’ll work in a dynamic, high-volume military lodging environment dedicated to serving military members and their families.
No military affiliation is necessary to apply. As the first point of contact for guests at Navy Gateway Inn and Suites, you’ll handle all stages of their stay, ensuring operational success and advancing how we serve our military patrons.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and answer questions about the lodging facility, amenities, and local attractions.
- Assist with guest requests in person or over the phone, including making, confirming, or canceling reservations, check-in/check-out processes, room assignments, and processing payments.
- Operate a multi-line telephone system, record and deliver messages as required.
- Maintain inventory of all keys and supplies at the front desk, including logging master key usage.
- Keep the front desk and lobby area clean and presentable.
- Utilize the Property Management System (PMS) to log trouble calls and notify appropriate departments.
- Relocate guests to different rooms when required.
- Generate and print various reports from the PMS as needed.
Requirements
- One year of general office clerical experience demonstrating the ability to perform clerical duties satisfactorily.
- One year of progressively responsible experience related to the position (e.g., guest services, front desk operations).
- Knowledge of computer systems, including Property Management Systems (PMS).
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
Education may substitute for experience: One-half academic year of college or junior college study above the high school level may substitute for 6 months of experience.

Competitive federal wages.
