Guest Service Attendant (Valet/Bellman/Doorman) Part-time

About the role

Valet Attendants welcome and create the first impression upon guest arrival. This may include assisting passengers during the loading and unloading process. The primary responsibility is to safely and efficiently relocate guest automobiles to designated parking locations. This role requires precise communication and coordination with hotel guest services and knowledge of daily events.

Responsibilities

• Provide legible communication and directions
• Instill a calm, organized approach when interacting in stressful situations
• Maintain confidentiality of guest information and follow proper protocol to secure and protect pertinent data
• Foster and maintain strong, positive relationships with team members across departments through communication
• Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
• Prioritize and organize tasks
• Follow directions thoroughly
• Understand guests’ service needs
• Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
• Lift up to 40 lbs
• Stand for long periods of time
• Enthusiastically welcome guests, anticipate their needs, and respond at any time of day
• Escort arriving guests, provide basic hotel information and orientations to guest rooms
• Park and retrieve guest vehicles in an efficient and prompt manner

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate
• Basic arithmetic skills
• Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally
• Valid NC Driver’s License
• Clean driving record (no points on Driver’s License)
• Flexible schedule (weekends & holidays)
