About the role
The Guest Service Ambassador (GSA) is responsible for ensuring that guests (patients, members, and clients) of NorthPointe Health and Wellness experience a delightful first impression in terms of greeting, wayfinding assistance, environmental safety, and cleanliness. GSAs play a fundamental role in establishing and sustaining guest loyalty.
Responsibilities
- Greets each guest in accordance with the Universal Greeting policy and personally assists guests in finding their way around the NorthPointe Campus.
- Identifies and promptly responds to all self-identified safety issues.
- Maintains the NorthPointe Health and Wellness facility in a sanitary and attractive condition.
- Establishes and maintains positive and professional working relationships with all employees and physicians at the NorthPointe Campus.
- Has a complete knowledge of the facility, staff, services, and hours of operation.
- Represents NorthPointe to guests, members, and the community in a positive, supportive manner.
- Maintains hard surface and carpeted flooring in accordance with manufacturer requirements and management expectations.
- Performs minor maintenance tasks such as (but not limited to) light bulb replacement.
- Performs high and low damp and dry dusting of all environmental surfaces.
- Cleans and sanitizes restrooms and hand wash facilities.
- Keeps restrooms and hand-wash facilities stocked with soap, sanitizer, and paper products.
- Keeps furniture positioned properly and clean, including soft seating, wood and metal seating, and tables.
- Sweeps and seasonally shovels facility entrances to assure guest safety (activity coordinated with engineering personnel).
- Interior vacuuming.
- Window washing (limited to interior and ground-level windows).
- Assists with meeting/event set-up, take-down, and clean-up.
- Enters work requests into the TMS system for equipment and facility repairs.
- Collects solid waste and infectious waste and disposes of them properly.
- Delivers clean textile carts to points of use in the facility.
- Uses prescribed methods and adheres to established schedules for wet or dry carpet cleaning and for hard surface flooring maintenance, refurbishing, and refinishing.
- Spot cleans carpet and upholstered furniture as needed.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
- Experience in environmental maintenance is desired.
- Must successfully complete job skills training checklist.
- CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to effectively communicate.
- Must be able to organize, prioritize multiple demands, and problem solve.
