About the role
Spirit Mountain Casino is hiring a full-time Guest Safety Specialist I in Grand Ronde, Oregon. This on-site position provides proactive safety, security, emergency-response, and guest-service support throughout the casino property.
Responsibilities
- Patrol casino grounds, lobbies, corridors, public rooms, employee entrances, and other assigned areas.
- Investigate guest and employee safety concerns and document incidents accurately.
- Provide directions, answer questions, and deliver professional guest assistance.
- Monitor compliance with casino policies, gaming regulations, internal controls, and applicable laws.
- Respond to medical emergencies, assist with evacuations, manage traffic and crowds, and coordinate temporary Life Flight landing zones when necessary.
- Support funds verification, drops, credits, escorts, and transportation of funds or personnel.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six months of guest service, safety and security, or emergency-services experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Applicants with guest-service experience only may receive employer-paid security training.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- High-security gaming license issued by the Grand Ronde Gaming Commission.
- Valid driver’s license and eligibility for company insurance.
- First Aid and CPR certification, or the ability to obtain both within six months.
- Must pass testing covering typing, guest safety and service mindset, and report writing.
Work Environment
Work is performed in a gaming environment with frequent loud noise and tobacco smoke. The position requires regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds, with occasional assisted movement of heavier objects. Random drug testing may be required under company policy.
