GUEST ROOM ATTENDANT

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleaning and servicing guest rooms in assigned section.
• Fills all reasonable guest requests and directs the guest to the appropriate person for assistance.
• Adhere to safe handling of all chemicals.
• Report any safety issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor, Assistant Housekeeping Manager, or the Housekeeping Manager.
• Attends all regular departmental meetings as well as other related meetings.
• Follows the established protocol when entering and cleaning guest rooms.
• Clean and service guest rooms as outlined in the housekeeping training manual.
• Reports room status on room attendant sheets.
• Restocks housekeeping room attendant carts with guest supplies and chemicals.
• Maintains housekeeping room attendant carts and work areas in an orderly and neat manner.
• Reports damage, improvement or repair issues in the guest rooms or hotel area to the appropriate housekeeping supervisor.
• Must complete all assigned rooms in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Must be able to stand for a minimum eight (8) hour shift.
• Must have strong time management skills and the ability to maintain an acceptable pace and quality of work.
• Strong guest service skills.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Six months prior cleaning experience preferred.

Pay

Starting Salary: $18.00
