About the role

The Accessible Services Team Wheelchair Ambassador transports guests with accessible needs throughout Highmark Stadium, including gate and stadium entrances, concourses, premium spaces, and other locations. This role ensures a safe, clean, comfortable, and family-friendly experience for guests while providing wheelchair transportation to and from their ticketed seating locations.

Note: This position involves physical activity that may become strenuous at times.

Responsibilities

  • Escort guests with accessible needs throughout Highmark Stadium using stadium wheelchairs.
  • Navigate stadium entry points, concourses, premium spaces, and elevators safely.
  • Utilize 24/7 Communicator Software to coordinate and track guest transportation requests.
  • Greet guests upon arrival, provide a friendly welcome, and offer a fond farewell.
  • Provide accurate directions to stadium locations, including seating areas, restrooms, merchandise, and food & beverage areas.
  • Inform guests about golf cart transportation in parking lots, including services and processes.
  • Promote and share information about Fan Experience programs offered in the stadium.
  • Monitor assigned areas to support guest safety, comfort, and enjoyment; report issues to Event Command.
  • Resolve guest concerns effectively in conjunction with Stadium Security and Guest Experience Supervisors.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Personable, engaging, and outgoing demeanor.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to different situations.
  • Team player who works well with others.
  • Must be 18 years or older and pass a background check.

Preferred Skills

  • Prior customer service experience.
  • Ability to understand and utilize technology, including iPads, iPhones, and radios.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk long distances, climb stairs, and stand for 6 hours or more.
  • Ability to push and pull up to 400 pounds and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for various tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-noise environment.
  • Ability to verbally communicate with fans, staff, and partners.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to navigate large venue spaces.

Job Expectations

  • Attend mandatory training classes, all Buffalo Bills home games, and additional events as required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from Highmark Stadium.
  • Must be available to work weekends, nights, and holidays when required.

Pay

$18.50 per hour.
