Guest Experience Assistant

About the Role

This position focuses on patient and guest check-in, ensuring an excellent guest service experience at the point of entry. The Guest Assistant greets all guests with a welcoming and positive demeanor, confirms scheduled appointments for patients, provides registration onboarding, and escorts them to the proper hospital destination. They also manage visitor access by validating patient names and room numbers, communicate visitor guidelines, and respond to immediate needs within their capability or obtain appropriate assistance.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests/patients entering the facility with a welcoming and positive demeanor.
• Confirm scheduled appointments for patients and provide registration onboarding.
• Escort patients to their proper hospital destinations.
• Welcome visitors, validate patient names and room numbers, and communicate visitor guidelines.
• Respond to immediate needs within capability or obtain appropriate assistance.
• Maintain awareness of all department locations and general hospital operations to provide knowledgeable answers to guests.
• Exhibit a professional demeanor, including appropriate eye contact, smiling, and rising to greet guests.
• Demonstrate active listening and adaptability to guest needs.
• Wear a uniform and maintain good grooming at all times.
• Utilize software programs necessary for job duties (Visitor Management system, Registration Onboarding system, Incident Reporting system, ISO reporting, work order system, and EHR).

Schedule

Monday - Friday: 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Use hands to operate equipment, speak, and hear.
• Pull, push, lift, and manipulate equipment.
