Guest Arrivals Ambassador (Reception)

About the role

Join us at Discovery Cove Orlando as an Ambassador and play an important part on our team, helping to bring joy, excitement, and lasting memories to guests from around the world while caring for animals and maintaining a welcoming park environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide park information to visitors
• Perform guest reservation check-in/check-out functions using a computer
• Perform guest bag checks
• Maintain cleanliness of all park areas including trash removal and sweeping
• Quickly resolve guest challenges by providing exceptional guest service
• Distribute available lockers to guests while maintaining cleanliness of locker facilities
• Perform guest check-in functions for in-park activities
• Provide informational tours for small groups of up to 12 guests
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Previous experience in a customer service role
• Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate computer skills
• Excellent guest service skills
• Cash handling skills
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Able to walk in sand
• Able to lift 30 pounds
• Able to push/pull 50 pounds with assistance
• Able to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions and temperature extremes
• Available to work 2 full days per week
• Able to work shifts starting as early as 5:30 AM and ending as late as 11:00 PM (for special events)
• Possession of a valid state driver’s license preferred

Schedule

Shifts may start as early as 5:30 AM and end as late as 11:00 PM, including special events. Requires availability to work 2 full days per week.
