Growth Marketing Director, Content Strategy
About the role
The Director, Growth Marketing - leading the Study Experience Campaign will report to the Sr. Director of Growth Marketing, Study Experience. This role will be responsible for developing and executing integrated growth marketing programs for the Study Experience portfolio across various channels.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute integrated growth marketing programs for the Study Experience portfolio across a range of channels, including digital, inbound marketing, events, webinars, social media, and Business Development programs
- Lead content strategy development for Study Experience and cross-experience demand generation, including campaign themes, editorial planning, asset prioritization, and content journeys aligned to buyer needs and funnel stages.
- Discover and design content that improves AI (LLMs) discoverability for key products
- Help define annual and quarterly campaign priorities, messaging focus areas, and content needs in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Lead quarterly content planning process aligned to persona data, product roadmap and ongoing sales and marketing priorities.
- Develop innovative, creative content and campaigns that position Medidata at the forefront of Life Sciences innovation.
- Orchestrate complex content and media ecosystem to support clear, powerful content themes and stories that will move the needle for prospect engagement and conversion.
- Partner with Product Marketing, Solution Sales Specialists, Business Development and subject matter experts to turn complex capabilities into clear, compelling, audience-focused content and campaign narratives.
- Drive development of high-impact content assets such as webinars, thought leadership, customer stories, landing page copy, and nurture content to support awareness, engagement, and conversion.
- Collaborate with Brand, External Communications, Digital Marketing, Events, and Account Based Marketing teams to ensure alignment between brand storytelling, awareness efforts, and demand generation tactics.
- Lead the use of AI-enabled approaches to improve marketing workflows, scale content and campaign operations, and increase team productivity and consistency across the Study Experience marketing function.
- Use data and insights to continuously improve campaign performance, content effectiveness, and the buyer journey.
- Serve as a strategic partner, mentor, and subject matter expert to peers and junior team members, providing leadership without direct people management.
Qualifications
- 10–12 years of experience in B2B or B2C marketing, with strong expertise in demand generation, content marketing, and integrated campaign strategy.
- Proven success building multi-channel SaaS marketing programs across email, webinars, digital/inbound, social media, events, and related channels.
- Dynamic storyteller with ability to make complex information clear and compelling.
- Experience translating complex, technical, or regulated offerings into clear, differentiated marketing narratives and content that drives engagement.
- Strategic thinker with experience in campaign execution.
- Proven proficiency utilizing AI tools for creativity and transforming team workflows.
- Experience in improving search and AI ranking with product and thought leadership content.
- Experience leading campaigns across multiple channels and coordinating cross-functional contributors.
- Strong presence and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across Product Marketing, Sales, Brand, Digital, and executive stakeholders.
- Highly analytical, with a strong understanding of marketing performance, funnel dynamics, content measurement, and pipeline impact.
- Comfortable working independently while driving alignment across cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
Pay
The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position located in New York is $135,000-$180,000.

Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $135,000 and $180,000, representing the base salary (or annualized salary based on estimated hourly compensation) and target bonus.
