About the Role
Our Growth Execution team drives the execution of growth strategies for various Global Practices (GPs). As a Growth Execution Manager (GEM), you'll partner with GP Leaders to identify, prioritize, and execute strategic growth initiatives across Howden’s global Specialty business. This role is ideal for a results-driven, proactive individual passionate about making a tangible impact.
Responsibilities
- Growth Execution Focus:
- Partner with GP Leaders to identify and execute key initiatives across the six pillars of the Global Practices: Leadership, Strategy, Clients & Proposition, Insights, Brand & Marketing, and Infrastructure & Support.
- Develop actionable plans to ensure tangible business outcomes, prioritizing opportunities with the highest global growth potential.
- Cultivate trust-based relationships with key stakeholders across Howden, fostering collaboration within Specialty, Geographies, and Reinsurance.
- Strategic Planning and Delivery:
- Collaborate with fellow GEMs to create comprehensive development plans for each practice.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery and impactful outcomes.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to keep projects on track.
- Thought Leadership and Innovation:
- Lead the development and execution of innovative strategies to strengthen GP capabilities internally and externally.
- Facilitate internal forums to share insights, best practices, and thought leadership across practices.
Example Projects/Activities
- Collaborate with specialist teams to design and implement global propositions.
- Partner with local teams and marketing to develop sector-specific strategies and campaigns.
- Organize a Global conference from design to delivery.
- Develop a global SharePoint site to enhance best practice and knowledge sharing.
- Create a comprehensive training academy/hub to support 'high talent' colleagues and new starters.
- Build a global 'toolbox' of resources, including wordings, marketing materials, and tools.
- Maintain a key win/proposal log to track and celebrate successes.
Requirements
- Experience in the insurance industry (direct experience, not consulting for insurance).
- 2-3 years of consulting, strategy, or project management experience.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
- A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Experience with data analysis is an advantage.
Pay
The expected base salary range for this role is $130,000 - $170,000, with actual compensation determined based on candidate experience and work location. This role is classified as exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Employees are also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
