Grower Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a self-motivated and energetic individual to join our Grower Supervisor team at 80 Acres Farms. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in and understanding of plants, people, and machines, and enjoy working collaboratively with individuals of different technical levels to achieve mutual goals.

Responsibilities

• Manages grow systems
• Maintains good management practices regarding food and plant safety
• Maintains a safe work environment
• Directs and supervises day to day grow functions
• Communicates with R&D and SMEs regarding crop status, learning, and observations
• Actively involved in day-to-day grow tasks including crop handling, IPM, seeding and transplant, fertigation, and sanitation
• Ensures compliance with PPE and GMPs
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 2+ years of production grow experience in a Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) environment
• Expert herb production knowledge
• Organic production experience preferred
• Experience supervising a team
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong computer skills
• Strong communication skills

Work Environment

• Repetitive motion throughout the shift
• Standing or walking for a long duration of time
• Exposure to heights while working in the grow area
• Lifting up to 50lbs
