About the role
The Cultivation Supervisor is responsible for managing the cultivation team in support of the vegetative and flower cannabis production. The objectives of the position are to maximize flower yield and quality, provide a safe and efficient working environment, and foster a positive work environment and culture that is constantly striving for excellence. All Cultivation Techs and Cultivation Tech Leads at the Otsego, MN location will report directly into this role. This role reports into the Cultivation Manager.
Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and schedule cultivation staff to ensure efficient execution of daily tasks
- Provide coaching feedback and performance management to team members
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Ensure adherence to all state cannabis cultivation regulations and company SOP’s
- Maintain strict sanitation and safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure product quality
- Track and report Key production indicators
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements
- Assist Leadership with weekly and monthly production planning
- Complete timecard approvals in a timely manner
- Work closely with leadership to resolve personnel issues
- Hire and support new employees through the onboarding and training process
- Order cultivation materials and maintain inventory management
- Ensure a safe work environment by enforcing OSHA standards, proper PPE, and facilities safety protocol to prevent accidents, injuries and contamination
Requirements
- Minimum three years' experience with managing a large indoor cultivation team
- Knowledgeable about the science behind producing the best cannabis
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong verbal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
