Group Tours Coordinator

About the role

The Group Tours Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing group tours and educational programs for visitors to the State Archives and History.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute group tours and educational programs for visitors to the State Archives and History.
• Assist visitors with questions and provide guided tours.
• Manage logistics for group tours, including transportation arrangements and tour schedules.
• Prepare and maintain tour materials and resources.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure continuity and quality of tours and programs.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and accessibility standards.

Requirements

• No experience required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Valid driver's license for travel to outreach activities, when applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in customer service or event coordination is preferred.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of Mississippi history and archives.

$43,509.31 - $50,035.70 Annually
