Group Leader Stamping

Essential Functions

• Ensures safety of self and others by following all Safety Policies/Procedures and wearing all required PPE.
• Review Stamping production patterns to ensure all products are stamped per the Pattern Schedule and all quality check systems are followed thoroughly.
• Must be willing to learn the “pattern production system” and be capable of investigating inventory levels and making suggestions to the Production Control Department to improve or adjust the pattern.
• Understand the operation of the stamping presses and be capable of investigating and reporting all machine issues to the department management and maintenance personnel.
• Create a cross training and rotation system to improve capabilities of all department team members and team leaders.
• Utilize manpower to be efficient and eliminate wasted manpower.
• Evaluate, develop and ensure all safety and quality procedures are correct and are followed 100% on each press.
• Provide assistance to team members and team leaders in solving problems/ concerns that may affect their performance.
• Evaluate low press efficiency issues and determine the most effective resolution.
• Aid and develop cost reduction activities to achieve yearly targets.
• Monitor and make adjustments to meet expectations for quality, productivity, housekeeping, and safety.

Qualifications

• Two years manufacturing experience with a minimum of 1-year supervisory experience.
• Efficient computer and software skills.
• Ability to read and follow instructions.
• Plex experience is a plus.
