About the Role

A Group Leader in the Drop Box department at Lennox AES (Tallassee, AL) is a frontline leader responsible for guiding a team of production workers to meet targets, uphold quality standards, and maintain a safe, efficient workplace.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety protocols and guidelines, conduct regular safety meetings, and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Train team members on production processes, quality standards, and safety procedures.
• Operate assigned machinery in accordance with established procedures.
• Supervise, coach, and lead a team of production workers to foster a positive, collaborative environment.
• Assist with planning and coordinating daily production schedules to meet output targets.
• Monitor and adjust workflow to optimize efficiency and productivity.
• Communicate production goals, targets, and expectations clearly to the team.
• Address and resolve production-related issues promptly.
• Serve as a liaison between production workers and management, conveying feedback and concerns.
• Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team and individual performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of related manufacturing experience.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Proven experience monitoring, guiding, and working with teams to meet production targets.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Positive attitude and ability to collaborate effectively with others.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Demonstrated safety awareness in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of production processes, resource allocation, leadership techniques, quality control, and safety standards.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet project deadlines or business demands.
• No active written or final disciplinary actions on file.
• Good attendance record.
• Leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Pay

This is an hourly, non-exempt role with a starting pay range of $26.00/hour, depending on geography, market, skills, education, and experience. Eligible for overtime pay when working more than 40 hours per week (or as required by state law).
