Group Instructor-Homeschool Hub

POSITION SUMMARY

The Group Instructor will lead group classes, respond to parent/member concerns, and ensure the YMCA's commitment to child safety.

Requirements

• Leads energizing, fun, safe, and educational group classes.
• Maintains a positive environment and ensures high member/participant satisfaction.
• Develops and implements Homeschool Hub programming.
• Builds strong relationships with program participants.
• Keeps accurate class attendance records.
• Follows YMCA policies and procedures.
• Responds to emergencies.

Other Duties

• Participates in the Annual Community Support Campaign.
• Aids in planning special events like Healthy Kids Day.
• Demonstrates and models the YMCA's core values.
• Behaves in a manner consistent with the Association's best interests.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sport-specific rules and regulations.
• Past experience working with children.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication and relationship-building skills.

Physical Demands

• Sufficient strength, agility, and mobility.
• Performing essential functions and supervising program activities in various locations.
• Physical activities: bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs., etc.

Salary Description

$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
